Terms of Service
Last updated: 2 October 2026 · Effective immediately
These Terms of Service govern your use of BuilderView, the client portal operated for Stone Brook Homes builders and their homeowners. By creating an account or signing in, you agree to be bound by these terms.
1. The service
BuilderView is a private client portal that keeps builders and homeowners on the same page throughout a residential build. The portal hosts project messages, milestones, photos, documents, change orders, financial summaries, and broadcast updates. Access is by invitation; an invite comes from a builder to a specific homeowner for a specific build.
2. Account responsibility
You are responsible for keeping your sign-in credentials private, for activity that happens under your account, and for notifying Stone Brook Homes promptly if you suspect unauthorized access. BuilderView is for the named recipient of an invite. Sharing credentials, screensharing authenticated views publicly, or republishing portal content to third parties is not allowed. Builders may sign in with an approved Google Workspace account. Google access requires an allowed Workspace domain and an approved BuilderView profile.
3. Data ownership
Project content — messages, photos, plans, change orders, financial entries, and milestones — is owned by the party that created it. Builders retain ownership of project metadata, schedule, and pricing entries; homeowners retain ownership of the messages, photos, and documents they upload from their side of the portal. Both parties grant BuilderView a limited license to host, transmit, and display that content for the purpose of operating the portal for the duration of the build. Marketing use of project content outside the portal requires separate written consent.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to upload content that is unlawful, that infringes a third party's rights, that contains malware, or that targets other portal users with harassment. You agree not to attempt to probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of the underlying systems, or to bypass any access control on the portal.
5. No warranty
BuilderView is provided “as is” and “as available.” Stone Brook Homes does its best to keep the portal accurate and available, but disclaims all warranties of any kind, express or implied, including the implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not guarantee uninterrupted access, error-free operation, or that the portal will meet every requirement you have for it.
6. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Stone Brook Homes and its operators will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of BuilderView, including loss of profits, data, goodwill, or business opportunity. Our total liability for any claim relating to the portal will not exceed the amount you have paid to use BuilderView in the twelve months preceding the claim.
7. Changes to the service or these terms
We may update the portal and these Terms of Service from time to time. Material changes will be announced inside the portal at least fourteen days before they take effect. Continued use of the portal after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
8. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Washington, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Any dispute arising under or relating to these Terms will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in King County, Washington, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction of those courts.
9. Contact
Questions about these Terms should be sent to your builder contact at Stone Brook Homes. Operational questions about the portal — login trouble, missing content, or data requests — should be sent to the portal support email listed in your invite.
